From Unemployment to a 7 Figure Business
I’m the girl who grew up loving dance and found fitness classes at 16 years old as a way to get in shape. I fell in love with it and wanted to start teaching classes as soon as possible. I soon learned everything under the umbrella of fitness and have spent 30 years in the industry teaching fitness classes, managing health clubs and presenting for Chalene Johnsons Fitness Company certifying over 2000 instructors in Turbo Kick, PiYo + Hip Hop Hustle.
In 2008 I found Beachbody through the recommendation of a friend as a way to earn more in the fitness industry, help more people and lose 10 lbs myself. I signed up to have a Plan B in the event my health club management career fell through. I soon fell in love with the BUSINESS MODEL of “community marketing”! I became obsessed to learn how to build a full time income and replace my full time salary. In 2009 I lost my full time job out of the blue and knew it was time to go ALL IN. And so I went on unemployment and worked my tail off to build my dream. That year my business matched my full time salary at my previous job. The next year it cleared 6 figures. The following year I hit the “million club” rank in the company…….this was all from the girl who grew up in a small town, loved fitness and wanted to change her life!
Fast Forward to 9/30/24 when Beachbody decided to change their business model and drop our businesses. I was about to lose a team of 25K, a business that allowed me to be home with my girls everyday and paid for our livelihood. It was devastating….but as any good leader and strong mama does, she picks herself back up!!! I’m on a mission to help my daughter recover and I’m not going to stop!!!
